Printre proteinele de rezervă din seminţe globulina 7S din arahide, Ara h1, prezintă cea mai înaltă alergenicitate. În
secvenţă aminoacidă a Ara h1 au fost identificaţi numeroşi determinanţi antigenici (epitopii IgE). A fost demonstrată
prezenţa unor potenţiali epitopi IgE în regiunile structural echivalente de secvenţe omoloage ale 7S globulinelor din alte
plante (în special, din soia). S-a stabilit existenţa probabilă a imunoreactivităţii încrucişate între Ara h1 şi subunităţile
Gly m G5 ale globulinei 11S din soia
Among seed storage proteins, the peanut 7S globulin Ara
h1 exhibits a highest allergenicity. Multiple antigen
determinants (IgE epitopes) have been identified inside the Ara h1 amino acid sequence. The presence of potential IgE epitopes inside structurally equivalent homologous sequence regions of 7S globulins from other plants (mainly from soybeans) was shown. Probable existence of a cross-immunoreactivity between Ara h1 and the subunits of soybean 11S globulin Gly m G5 was demonstrated.
