În era tehnologiilor comunicațional-informaționale au loc schimbări de proporții în toate domeniile acțivității jurnalistice. Înstituțiile/redacțiile mass-mediei sunt supuse convergenței, munca profesională a jurnalistului devine multifuncțională, căpătând caracter universal. Noile tehnologii influențează tot mai mult și genurile jurnalistice, diversificându-le și dându-le noi însușiri privind modul de abordare și reflectare a realității. În acest context, în ultimii ani s-a schimbat substanțial și comentariul atât ca gen, cât și ca metodă a jurnalismului contemporan. În acest articol, autorul, în baza experienței acumulate în predarea genurilor de opinie și comentative, întreprinde o analiză a evoluției comentariului și a noilor forme de manifestare a lui ca gen și metodă a jurnalismului în condițiile societății informaționale. De asemenea, vine cu concluzii și raționamente privind exploatarea activă/plenară a posibilităților deschise de noile tehnologii pentru comentariu ca gen, dar și extinderea ariei lui ca metodă de colaborare cu celelalte genuri jurnalistice din ziare, reviste, de la radio, televiziune și din presa online, cărora le dă sens și soliditate.
In the era of communication and information technologies, there are changes of proportions in all fields of the journalistic activity. Mass media institutions/editions are subjected to convergence, the journalist's professional work becomes multifunctional, acquiring a universal character. The new technologies are increasingly influencing the journalistic genres as well, diversifying them and giving them new characteristics regarding how to approach and reflect reality. In this context, in recent years, the commentary has also changed substantially, both as a genre and as a method of contemporary journalism. In this article, the author, on the basis of his experience gained in teaching opinion and commentary genres, undertakes an analysis of the evolution of commentary and the new forms of its manifestation as a genre and method of journalism, in the conditions of the information society. Moreover, he comes with conclusions and reasonings regarding the active/plenary exploitation of the possibilities opened up by the new technologies for the commentary as a genre, but also the expansion of its area as a method of collaboration with the other journalistic genres in newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online press, to which it gives meaning and solidity.
