Abstract:
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) occupy a majority role of 98.6% of all enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, hiring over 335 thousand employees. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises involves the employment of the rural labor force, the creation of goods and services required at local and regional level, but also the existence of available secondary raw materials. At the same time, according to the data analyzed below, we note that the survival rate in the first year of SMEs is only 46.8%, which involves mechanisms at the governmental level for better management of small businesses. The creation of business incubators at regional level, is an information and training platform both for managers of newly created and incubated enterprises, but also for the local business environment.
