Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate that homonyms can be learned in the school. It can make the difference between homonyms homograph, homophone homonyms and semantic homonyms. In the school this phenomenon of lexicology should be learned because pupils often face with groups of homonyms and they do not know how to apply them correctly in context. The thesis consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusions, recommendations, a glossary and a bibliography. The objectives achieved by this research are: identification of the semantical relations, examining the definition of homonymy, analyzing concepts of homonymy and polysemy, explaining collision between homonyms problems, identifying ways to differentiate between homonyms, studying general-individual skills.
