Abstract:
Catalase activity was studied in roots and leaves of soybean varieties resistant to drought stress. The study used varieties: Zodiac – with high resistance to drought, Horboveanca – average resistance and Licurici – sensitive to water stress. Catalase activity varies depending on the genotypes and on the plant organs, with higher values in the foliage system in comparation of the root system. The administration of fhenolic substance (OC) increased catalase activity in the root system of soybean plants in all varieties studied.
