The choice of this theme is determined by the difficulties that the Romanian speakers encounter in using temporal forms of the Subjunctive Mood in French. For this reason the study
is a comparative one: the similarities and differences of using the structure of the Subjunctive Mood in Romanian and French are identified and there is an attempt to define the reasons that cause many differences regarding the actualization of temporal forms of this mood in the given language. The Subjunctive Mood is considered one of the most important moods in theFrench Grammar according to R. and G. Le Bidois. The obvious differences in using this ood are caused by the fact that the French speaker attributes an imaginary or unreal value to a eal situation. The French speaker «dresses» the real situation into a modalizing outfit, modalities floating above the fragment of the designated reality.
