Abstract:
The current trend in cosmetics is to minimize the number of ingredients, especially synthetic, while maintaining the high cosmetic action of the product. In this sense, it was proposed to study on model systems, the oxidation processes with OH radicals in the presence of cosmetic ingredients and skin components, also evaluated the degree of their involvement in radical processes activated by UV radiation. Research has shown that among the investigated substances, glycine, urea and glycerin inhibit the development of oxidation processes with the participation of OH radicals by interrupting their regeneration chain, while alanine, by training in regeneration processes, supports the realization of radical oxidation processes.
