Abstract:
The inconsistency of the traditional approach to environmental issues has generated a request for the creation of a new philosophy that would allow solving those inconsistencies that are generated by this concept of ecology. This solution is the philosophical concept of "dark ecology". The difference between traditional ecological discourse and "dark ecology" is as follows: nature is not a stable phenomenon, accessible to us for understanding; the predictive ability of a humanity within structure of Nature is minimal; the consequences of improving the environmental situation are not necessarily beneficial, but can exacerbate the problem; there is no need to sit idly by, but we should not refuse the processing of petroleum products, nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Being ecological doesn't mean fighting deforestation, animal rights, etc. Being ecological means interacting with all manifestations of biodiversity.
