Abstract:
This article is an investigation of the contemporary Romanian poetry from the perspective of continuity of literary movements and aims to define the characteristics of neo-expressionism in Romanian literature as a new version of modernist expressionism based on Ileana Mălăncioiu and Mariana Marin’s poetry. Extremely variable, post-war expressionism went beyond its historical limits of affirmation, taking another understanding. That’s why a phenomenological analysis of neo-expressionism is a valuable approach in the reading and interpretation of contemporary Romanian poets.
