Abstract:
The master's thesis presents a study on a problem not studied in the Republic of Moldova. Issues related to the need for gender-sensitive budgeting and the importance of this topic for ensuring equality have been examined and addressed in thematic articles and research internationally more frequently than at the national level. It is the duty of every government
to promote equality among its citizens and to redistribute resources from those who have them to those who do not have sufficient resources. Gender inequality is not only socially unacceptable, but also negatively affects overall economic performance and increases a society's spending by reducing economic efficiency and lowering the capacity of developing people.
