The twentieth century was undoubtedly one of the most important eras in the history of the world, which experienced both progress and regression. Politically, Europe remained at the heart of the international system and continued to play a significant role in the world. At the end of the First World War, European states still maintained large
colonial empires. From an economic point of view, European states suffered colossal losses, and the emergence of new centers of power had become an indisputable fact. The great non-European industrialized states had taken advantage of the European war and increased their industrial production. In 1945, Europe ceased to be a subject of international relations, and its fate was decided especially in Moscow or Washington. However, gradually mankind began to register a series of transformations related to the monetary-financial system, political-economic development, but also on the technical-scientific basis. All these aspects will be analyzed in this article.
