Abstract:
The present article analyses the legislation of Republic of Moldova in order to present terms and definitions used to refer to the phenomenon of poverty in the country. The author comes to the conclusion that the legislation in this area in Republic of Moldova is very vague and rarely offers to concrete definitions of who is considered to be „poor”. The
conclusion of the research is that those who are poor and should benefit from the provisions of the certain legislative acts are thus neglected. The author considers that the legislation of Republic of Moldova that refers to the poor should be more specific and contain clear definitions of the used terms.
