DE LA OPERATOR RADIO MILITAR LA PROFESOR UNIVERSITAR: ELENA M. PODGRADSKAIA

Abstract

O destinsă personalitate din domeniul științei istorice și a activității pedagogice universitare din Moldova din perioada sovietică a fost Elena Martânovna Podgradskaia (1928–?). Slovacă de naționalitate, originară din or. Trnava, a participat la insurecția antifascistă din Slovacia, fiind operator radio militar, apoi căsătorindu-se cu un ofițer sovietic, pleacă în 1945 la Chișinău, unde în 1957 a absolvit Facultatea de Istorie și Filologie a Universității de Stat, fiind repartizată la Institutul de Istorie al Filialei Moldovenești a AȘ a URSS. Aici a parcurs treptele de la laborant superior până la colaborator științific superior, iar în 1970 se transferă la catedra de Istorie Antică și Medievală al US din Chișinău, parcurgând funcțiile de la lector până la profesor universitar (1984). În 1966 a susținut teza de candidat (doctor), iar în 1982 – de doctor (habilitat) în istorie. Cunoscătoare pe lângă limbile rusă, română și engleză, a limbilor polonă și ucraineană, precum și a paleografiei slave vechi. E. M. Podgradskaia a cercetat în arhivele din Lvov și Moscova acte vechi inedite, referitoare la relațiile economice ale Țării Moldovei cu țările Europei de Est și teritoriile balcanice ale Imperiului Otoman din secolele XVI–XVII. Rezultatele cercetărilor au fost expuse în două monografii (1966, 1982), studii și articole (cca 80), referate la conferințe unionale (Moscova, Lvov, Chișinău, Erevan etc.). O parte din documentele depistate, referitoare la relațiile economice româno-ruso-ucrainene din secolele XV–XVII le-a inclus (în colaborare) în colecția „Relațiile istorice ale popoarelor URSS cu România” (vol. I-III, Moscova, 1965–1970, Ediție comună a istoricilor sovietici și români). În ansamblul său opera E. M. Podgradskaia a adus o contribuție substanțială la determinarea rolului relațiilor economice

A distinguished personality in the field of historical science and university pedagogical activity in Moldova during the Soviet period was Elena Martânovna Podgradskaia (1928–?). Slovak nationality, originally from the town. Trnava, participated in the anti-fascist insurrection in Slovakia, being a military radio operator, then marrying a Soviet officer, left in 1945 for Chisinau, where in 1957 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the State University, being assigned to the Institute of History of the Moldovan Branch of the USSR SA. Here he went from senior laboratory to senior scientific collaborator, and in age 1970 he transferred to the Department of Ancient and Medieval History of the US in Chisinau, completing the functions from lecturer to university professor (1984). In age 1966 he defended his thesis as a candidate (doctor), and in 1982 – as a doctor (habilitated) in history. Connoisseur in addition to Russian, Romanian and English, Polish and Ukrainian, as well as Old Slavic paleography. E. M. Podgradskaia researched in the archives of Lvov and Moscow unpublished old documents, regarding the economic relations of the Country of Moldova with the countries of Eastern Europe and the Balkan territories of the Ottoman Empire from the 15th century XVI–XVII. The research results were presented in two monographs (1966, 1982), studies and articles (about 80), related to union conferences (Moscow, Lvov, Chisinau, Yerevan, etc.). Some of the documents found, referring to the Romanian-Russian-Ukrainian economic relations from the 15th century XV–XVII included them (in collaboration) in the collection “The historical relations of the peoples of the USSR with Romania” (vol.
