Abstract:
The scientific interest of this presentation related the history of the student’s everyday life in period of their studying at the State Institute of Medicine in Chisinau from 1945 to 1991. In the first post-war years, future doctors had to combine the study process with other time-specific actions: at cleaning public places; as health instructors at the fight against infectious diseases, the fight against hunger etc. The students’ clothing was poor, some wearing military. Other students had to work unloading coal, wood, machinery for factories and plants. Graduates of the 1975-1980s, compared to previous promotions, analyzed the specifics their everyday life more critically, through general culture. With the economic crisis of the second half of the 1980s, some of the institution’s graduates, crushed by the daily routine, being forced to retire outside the republic.
