Abstract:
In this study, the genetic diversity of one wild-growing form of Mentha spicata
and four hybrids from the collection of mint of Moldova State University has been evaluated with random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers.
The highest level of molecular polymorphism was ascertained in wild-growing
Mentha spicata. These results are important for the exploitation of new genetic materials of Mentha in plant amelioration and selection of genotypes with
superior quality.
