ÎMPROPRIETĂRIREA CU PĂMÂNT A BISERICII ORTODOXE DIN TRANSILVANIA ÎN CADRUL REFORMEI AGRARE DIN ANUL 1921

Abstract

Biserica Ortodoxă Română din Transilvania a fost nedreptăţită sub regimul habsburgic, inclusiv în privinţa proprtăţilor funciare. Cercetările efectuate demonstrează că după Unirea Transilvaniei cu România (1918) aşteptările clerului ortodox privind împroprietărirea cu terenuri agricole au fost mari. Reforma agrară din 1921 a satisfăcut doar parţial aşteptările conducerii BOR. Terenurile primite în rezultatul reformei erau mai mici decât prevederile legale. Cu toate neajunsurile, reforma agrară a îmbunătăţit totuşi situaţia materială a preoţilor din localităţile rurale.

The Romanian Orthodox Church of Transylvania was wronged under the regime of Habsburg Empire, including the land tenures. The conducted investigations show that after the union of Transylvania with Romania (1918) the expectations of Orthodox clergy regarding the appropriation of agricultural lands were high. The agrarian reform of 1921 only partiallymet the expectations of the Romanian Orthodox Church. The land proprieties originating from land reform did not co rresponded to legal provisions. In spites of all shortcomings, the land reform has improved the financial situation of priests in rural areas.
