ANALIZA COMPARATIVĂ A SISTEMULUI PUBLIC DE PENSII ȘI A SUSTENABILITĂȚII ACESTUIA ÎN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA ȘI ÎN ROMÂNIA

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze the sustainability of the public pension system in the Republic of Moldova and its future assurance through the perspective of reducing inequities, adapting to the social insurance system and strengthening the sustainability of the public pension system. The results of the research refer to the analysis of the dynamics of the number of pension beneficiaries and the size of the pension in the Republic of Moldova. The study of the reasons and possibilities for employing pensioners in the labor field allowed the identification of a number of informally employed elderly people. The legislative changes were identified and/or analyzed at the level of the retirement period by gender, the contribution period, as well as the possibilities of reducing the retirement period for certain categories of beneficiaries. The ways to reduce inequities in the pension system and its connection to social insurance principles were identified, as well as strengthening its sustainability from the perspective of providing confidence on the part of individuals and economic agents in order to carry out the mandatory breakdowns in the social insurance budget fund and reducing tax evasion.
