Abstract:
Major changes in Moldovan society have recently begun to reflect the consequences of ageing on various population groups, including senior citizens. The proportion of people aged 65 and over increased between 2014 and 2020 from 10.9% to 14.4%.
Self-esteem, becomes a stable indicator in ensuring the social adaptation of seniors in social life. This term is among the terms “self-esteem” and “self-confidence”, which originate in the formation of the “I-ness” of each personality, which is built, internalised and strengthened only through interaction with other members of society.
