Abstract:
This article describes the specific achievement of regional development policy in the Republic
of Moldova. Some regions have managed to rebuild successfully and their economic
growth is noticeable, others are still in a state of economic stagnation. Since the 1990s,
under the aegis of the ministries responsible for economic policies, several initiatives were
launched to implement public policies aimed at the balanced development of the country’s
regions, but only at the end of 2009, the regional development process was stimulated by
institutionalizing the instruments for implementing the regional development objectives.
