Abstract:
The research on the issue of bread names falls within the area of socio-cultural realities and reflects the way in which the cognitive and linguistic picture of the world has been created in Romanian and French-speaking societies. As a staple food of any society, bread has undergone numerous evolutions both in material and imaginary terms, as each ethnoculture has distinguished itself in its own way in the recipe for the preparation of this food, but also in the way of naming bread. This is in direct relation to national traditions and customs or in accordance with certain daily activities of the bearers of the language and culture concerned. In the article below we have tried to analyse the more specific trends that have emerged in the Romanian and French cultures in relation to the subject announced in the title.
