Abstract:
This article contains some reflections on the legal nature of the exercise of public office relationships, approached through the labor law, and general issues related to the oath as a condition to hold a public office. The article explains the general framework of the social act of the oath of public servants and some qualities of the oath as a legal act of public commitment. Also there are outlined some shortcomings of the legal framework, such as the lack of legal consequences of the refusal by a public official to take the oath.
