Abstract:
Legal framework on allowances for temporary incapacitation for work granted on the basis of medical leave. This publication focuses on legal framework related to granting of allowances for temporary incapacitation for work. It points out the fact that all the insured of the public social insurance system are entitled to allowances for temporary incapacitation for work on the basis of sick leave. This sick leave is a statistical, financial, social and legal document issued by medical authorities that expertise employee’s temporary incapacitation for work in accordance with the legal framework on certain cases, fully rendered in the current publication. Moreover, the paper specifies necessary conditions for setting up the way of calculating and paying this type of allowance and the means of contesting the decisions of the authorities that set up the allowance and duly pay it.
