Abstract:
Domestic violence is a widespread phenomenon in the Moldovan society.
Nevertheless, the government is taking a wide range of actions, both social and structural,
with the purpose to inform society, aiming to stimulate victims of domestic violence to
address for help. Many legal instruments have been introduced to discourage this
phenomenon and to offer adequate protection for the victims. One of such instruments
has a civil nature and is included in the Civil procedure code providing civil protective
measures for the victims of domestic violence. In this paper we perform an evaluation
test, under the instrument of civil procedure guarantees, in order to determine what
exactly are the procedural guarantees offered to the victim and how efficient are these
guarantees in real life.
