A fost studiată fotoliza directă în soluţii apoase a tioureei (TU) şi cisteinei pe sisteme model cu scopul de a estima rolul lor în procesele ce decurg în apele naturale. S-a constatat că
atât tioureea, cât şi cisteina se supun fotolizei directe la iradiere cu diferite surse de lumină artificială. Din rezultatele obţinute se poate afirma că viteza de oxidare a acestor tioli depinde direct proporţional de concentraţia initial a tiolului în sistem, precum şi de spectrul de emisie al lămpii. Au fost determinate randamentele cuantice ale tioureei şi cisteinei cu ajutorul actinometrului chimic ferioxalatul de potasiu (K32O4)3] ·3H2O). S-a constatat că randamentul cuantic al TU este cu mult mai mare ca unitatea, ceea ce denotăcă în procesul de distrugere a tioureei doar la etapa initial are loc reacţia fotochimică , care este urmată de reacţii himice, posibil radicalice. Deci, TU poate fi iniţiator al reacţiilor de autopurificare chimică în apele naturale.
It was studied direct photolysis in aqueous solutions of the thiourea and cysteine on the model system in order to
estimate their role in the processes arising in the natural waters. It has been found that both of them, thiourea and cysteine,
have been subjected to direct photolysis at irradiation with
different artificial light sources.
From the results obtained
it was found that oxidation rate of these thiols depends direc
tly proportional to the initial concentration of thiol in the
system and the emission spectrum of the lamp. There were
determined quantum yields of
thiourea and cysteine using
chemical actinometer K

O. It was found that the
quantum yield of thiourea is
much greater than unity,
which shows that on the destruction of thiourea only at the initial stage occurs photochemical reaction, which is followed
by chemical reactions, possibly radical r
eactions, so thiourea can be the initiator of
chemical self-purification reactions
in the natural waters.
