A home is a dwelling-place used as a permanent or semi-permanent residence for an individual, family or household. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, promote „universal respect for, and observance of, human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion.” Article 25 contains the following text regarding housing and quality of living: „Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing [...].”
