Abstract:
Local media is emerging, is successful and has a special place in people’s lives
because they are interested in what is happening in their immediate proximity. Local
newspapers are preferred, primarily because they reflect a concrete reality, known and
experienced by the reader. Secondly, they are preferred for their pragmatic character, or,
they choose the topics not only according to their own customers and they address issues
in strict compliance with the objective expectations of their loyal readers and the needs
of groups of people whose needs they represent. And thirdly, local media is preferred
because it provides information of immediate utility, which have a direct and dramatic
impact on the media products consumer.
