Abstract:
The issue of national minorities’ press (most recently, in order to avoid any hint of
discrimination, another term is used - ethnic cohabiting), always stood in front of any
national state. In Bessarabia this problem, in some periods of time, has held a prioritar
position, especially in the 90’s when it became vital for the independence and sovereignty
ty of the new state – the Republic of Moldova. The importance of this study lies in perennial
nial actuality of this topic, the relations between majority and minority, between state
and ethnic groups being still insufficiently studied. In Moldova these topics were often
approached tendentiously or with intended exaggeration of their political dimension. In
order to understand correctly and to address some critical situations in the not so simple
relations between representatives of various ethnic groups retrospective, a multiaspectual
retrospective is welcome, in this given case the proposed subject of research being
the history of interw ar bessarabian press in other languages, a more extensive
research to follow.
