Abstract:
The development of civil society is of key importance for the fundamental, democratic and pluralistic values of any country, but also for encouraging the social involvement of citizens in development processes. The development of the associative sector reaffirms the constitutional rights of citizens, including the right to freedom of association, freedom of assembly, freedom of expression. Through their activities, citizens contribute to a comprehensive development, to the improvement of living standards and quality of life. The social partners also have a key role to play in ensuring access to the labor market. NGOs have become key players in the fight against poverty and social exclusion and are engaged in regular dialogue with public authorities.
