Problematica supravegherii pieţelor financiare, în general, şi a celei bancare, în special, a fost şi rămâne o temă de actualitate. Dată fiind complexitatea şi întinderea subiectelor ce pot face obiectul unei astfel de teme, în cadrul prezentului studiu nu ne-am propus o abordare exhaustivă (de altfel, fără sorţi de izbândă), ci doar o analiză în principal a rolului autorităţilor de supraveghere naţionale. În pofida evoluţiilor înregistrate la nivel instituţional în Uniunea Europeană în ultimul deceniu şi jumtate, autorităţile de supraveghere naţionale au continuat să fie privite ca principalii actori care
sunt responsabili de supravegherea prudenţială a instituţiilor financiare. Subiectul este cu atât mai captivant cu cât reglementările europene în materie nu vin să stabileasc
ă o abordare unitară pentru toate statele membre, ceea ce face ca, la data analizei, să
întâlnim o diversitate de modalităţi de organizare a activităţilor de supraveghere prudenţială.
The issue of financial markets supervision in general and banking in particular is still a very topical issue. Taking
into account the complexity and the variety of the issues that may be the object of this topic, the present paper is not
having a comprehensive approach, as we would not succeed, but is
mainly an analysis of the role of national supervising
authorities. Despite the achievements registered at the institutional level in the EU during the last decade, the national supervisory authorities continue to be seen as the main actors responsible for the prudential supervision of financial institutions. The subject is even more interesting as the European regulations are not aimed at establishing a uniform approach for all Member States, which made us meet, during our analysis, a variety of ways of organizing the activities of prudential supervision.
